a familiar and popular figure from the seafront.

Howard 95% of the traders are from East Kent, almost half from Dover.
Good pictures

Well I struggled down there this morning so it was good to see they were fairly busy and I had not a long walk for nothing. I bought some fish and some excellent home made fudge and was told there should be a butcher there next time.

Apparently Sue was at Billingsgate collecting her fish in the wee small hours. It couldn't be fresher that that!

I went down to take a look and it has had a very good start; more stalls on the first day than at anytime DCoC were running it.
I bought a leather belt for a £5 (£25 in M & S).
Look forward to seeing more stall as the weeks go by.
Just a thought though, coming down from Biggin Street, the first few stalls on the left hand side were the wrong way round - all the other stalls faced outwards. Pandora said they'll be the other way round next week.

The stalls could not be seen when I was just past Pencester so visually nothing to draw anyone who did not know the market was on down there.
My piece of skate was delicious and so was the fudge.

I bought some skate as well. It seemed to be quite busy for the first day. Hope it does well

Big hats off to the Town Team for getting this organised and for the great start today - lets hope it gets the support it needs to run for a good long time
