got me thinking now david, have to find a bank that will lend me money to run a business i know nothing about first.
the rest is simple, employ romanians and bulgarians for 25 pence an hour - rubbing my hands thinking about it.

A proud boast...
"Nowadays, cleaning service comes with free collection and delivery right to the customers' doorstep."

The point is Howard, not long ago we had 2 now none, like pubs having your clothes cleaned by somebody else is a dying game.

Their approach to customer service was poor in my experience. I reluctantly resorted to using a cleaner in Folkestone because of apparent damage to my suit and the lack of friendliness from staff. This is how a town goes downhill - you go out of town for basic service and find yourself spending money on other items that you would have bought in Dover, so that eventually another shop closes. And so on.
Hopefully a better run business will take its place. This is no loss.

Years ago there was a shop in River that took dry cleaning, maybe our River inhabitants can tell us if it is still there.

The previous owners routinely treated customers in a condescending and confrontational manner. There is money to be made by anyone wanting to fill an obvious gap in the market.

This is an example of where an on-the-ball DDC Economic Development Officer is straight on the phone to Johnsons or a another dry cleaner. Oh what the hell, I'll e-mail them myself. It's all for Dubris.
