Brian, that was a silly thing to say! It has to be based on outcomes, results, targets, lots of stuff. It's all relative. I do get a bit cross when people diss all managers without considering the purpose and what can be achieved. There are a lot of poor managers, but there are a lot of excellent ones as well. And frankly, you get what you pay for.

bern,but do we.over paid managers bring in to much red tape.
to many cases of being to old,to fat,smoke/drink much for that esential operation that you need,for instance.
