Normally a score of zero gets you closed down if you don't rectify defects quick smart.

Perhaps that doesn't apply to local politicians.
Having said that, most peoples' domestic kitchens would score a 1 at best.

Bobby Royston hasn't run that for ages, the address given is Rokesley Road but Bob moved out into the sticks, Martin Mill I think, a few years back.

Could be possible I suppose that the reason the burger van gets a zero is because it doesn't have a toilet.

I eat at two Burger vans one in the plumbing estate and other local in Deal. They both have Cat 5 Hygine rating I don't think not having wc is a issue I just believe lower then a 4 is a bad excuse and questions need to be answered

I believe suitable washing facilities maybe the main reason for lower ratings I.e no sink to wash hands and obvious suitible storage for chilled products, cross contamination etc etc etc

Deal seems to have a High Street to visit but it is a good idea to be selective where you eat, there seems to be a higher number of establishments listed than I would have expected.
I find this one the most worrying when you consider they cater for the elderly who are more vulnerable health wise.....Meadow Dean Residential Home, River

A friend of ours has a mobile catering unit which is used for various events, not your average burger bar but quite a high class unit.It gained a 4 star rating, the only reason he was told that it didnt obtain 5 was that he didnt keep sufficent paperwork for it.Maybe a record of cleaning, checking etc etc.

Blakes got marked down because the kitchen floor was in poor condition but that has now been rectified.

Eaten in all of them and never been ill - what is much more helpful is understanding the reason for the low rating? Is it just lack of paperwork (instantly loses you 3 stars) or is it poor practice or poor hygiene or what?
