Having watched last night's BBC Question Time I'm actually wondering what the purpose of education is. Apparently it's got bugger all to do with the passing on of knowledge between generations and its most important function is something called 'social mobility'.
Let's just hope that the main competitors of the kids I taught, who are somewhere in the far east on the end of a 'phone, about to offer to do a job in half the time at half the price, were also concentrating on 'social mobility' and worrying about 'self esteem', otherwise were looking at an entire generation who have been f**ked up by well meaning liberals in an experiment in social engineering.
I was relying on these kids to pay for my huge index linked pension!
