It does seem to be a constant battle I agree Paul. It's not just the negativity, but the fact that (in my case) I feel i have to justify every posting as they seem to have either Dave Little, Reg or Keith attacking what I'm saying - certainly takes the pleasure out of posting.

Roger you seem to want it both ways, if you're going to dish it out (and you and I know what I'm referring to) then you've got to be prepared to take it.
Have you ever wondered why you get so much stick on here?

I agree councillors are fair game but there is a difference between fair comment and debate and personal attacks as if that one councillor is responsible for all that is wrong with DDC.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

jan has pointed out the clear difference between debate and personal attacks, the former draws people in to post the latter makes people move onto another thread.
i find that if you speak to councillors and officers nicely you get much better results than otherwise.

Christine Worsley's posts have disappeared, is there a reason for that?

# attacking...?...surely you mean disagree, critical of your opinion / contribution.....
I agree with # 24 ....as a politician it all goes with the territory..........
# 27...true but you very rarely get any further with valid applications / objections........

Richard Bruges and Amsterdam are places, tourists love stay in and spend
Exactly old medieval historic towns, like Dover should have been remodel on since the bombardment of WW2
Instead of the modern cheep vandalism about to take place.
Dover is the front door to England, all building work in the front of the town should be in sympathy with the castle.
Get the Germans to pay for it they knocked it all down,
Or let it come out of the EU £55 million a day we pay the ingrates across the water
We saved ,twice !

Keith, you could be hitting a raw nerve there: part of the £55 million a day paid by us to the EU does come back to Britain, in the guise of subsidies to aristocratic landowners, including the house of Windsor.

Maybe it's time to call it a day - no constructive input now.

Gosh, Roger, every extra bank holiday knocks a 0.5% hole in the GDP, and they had a couple of them this year and last.
That makes a negative input to our recession, and effectively made it a double-dip one too.

This thread is nothing to do with the economy - take your bizarre economics to another one !!!
Sadly the whole tone of the forum is going in the wrong direction

Been nice knowing you :)

Paul, this is becoming a double-dip negative thread.
What are we supposed to write on it?

Keith B, when you refer to the 'ingrates across the water' surely you are not insulting the cheese-eating surrender monkeys?
