- 1 February 2012 23:55150975A good way of saving a bit along the way is to buy in bulk the supermarket specials and freeze them. I get some great deals on meat and fish, ie buy three for ten pounds etc, you need to remember to unfreeze on the day and of course to have the room to store them.
