Not written in stone tablets this, and there is a problem with secrecy and transparency

what is new!
I spoke to some chaps, in the high vis yellow jackets, who said, " they were doing, as they were told, but did not know Dover that well".
River Dour Greenway Cycle Path, New Bridge by the Kent College. Widening the pathway into a part of the River, which floods - ie. no hospital can be built there, because of flooding blah blah.
The Cycle Path would be much more effective and less impact on the River, on the otherside down from Bridge to Bridge and onwards by the College. Ofcourse the proposed cycle path comes to a grinding halt at Maison Dieu/Pencester. Also, tarmacing of the Red Brick Path, such a huge cost in its time, along the river in Pencester itself...
I have huge concerns, and you can all laugh in your coats at this, regarding the wonderful Willow Trees, These trees should have a preservation order on them, because these Willows absorb all flood water, and should be made a feature of the river.
Not felled.
There is a muttering of a £500.000.00 grant to enable this short and perculiar cycle way, causing such disruption for such a small gain. This has to be taken up by March 2013.
Ofcourse, this river and surrounds have been neglected and down-trodden. That is in keeping with the policies of the
Masters of Dover. This idea is on par with the Band Stand, wrong place, underused, massive expence of our money, again.
Also the Moses Tablets around the band stand, again huge expense, which are ignored.
All cycles can get to where they want to go, by the roads provided, and leave our walkways alone.
These Willow Trees and the rest, have to be saved.
