07:2369440We tell people when they ask to join... that Membership of the Forum is for people who want to post. Heaven knows its a simple philosophy. There is clearly no point in joining if you dont intend to post. There is no point to it!
Its the chocolate teapot factor..ie.. a member is of no use to man or beast if he sits idly watching. Its these guys that will be departing from monday. I think there are 10 or 12.
So if you want to hold onto the best free membership in town get posting now. You will be embraced by all the guys and will enjoy it all the more. So there we are.
We are always interested in new contributors who want to join in.

07:3669448But what he says is right Melissa; no point in being a member if your not going to post.
We don't bite - not on their first posting anyway.

09:3469460I`ve always noticed new member`s over the month`s joining, then no posting`s appear. Vic, you`ve just posted above so you should be okay.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

09:5369465most people pick and choose what threads and/or posters thay want to read.
there are a few members that log on read then never seem to have a opinion on anything.
much better i think to have a small number of regular posters than a great number that never join in.

12:2969475Often feel unqualified to post on political subjects as not really up to speed. But will try to stick my oar in when I can.

12:4169478Good for you Diana. We cannot all post on everything and sometimes there is just so much going on you cant possibly do so unless you have all the time in the world....
The beauty is the wide variety of posts/subjects, something that everyone can post on whatever their interests. Someone not posting because there is nothing they are interested in? Then start threads or postings on something you are interested in.... others I am sure will join in! A great medium for everyone.

14:3069502I have a lot of posting to do at the post office. So many forms to fill in for my self employment company that I have opened. Most of them to do with tax and revenues.
I thought I paid so much VAT when doing the shopping, and here I am filling in a VAT form.
This morning two more brown envelopes in the post!

17:0069524I'm here too
I can't apologise for having such a manic summer that I haven't had much time to post and I can't really say that I hope winter will be quieter so I will have time to post more.....but it probably will be though!

I know a million ways to always pick the wrong thing to say

18:4369551I don't post on politics as I got my knuckles rapped years ago. I forget what it was all about now.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

22:1569612don't think it is that simple keith.
i personally am not in favour of publishing a hit list, also there is no set regime.
people have different life styles, maybe someone works one month on and one month off on the ferries, plus there are holidays etc.
the main problem in my opinion is when people continually log in and never say anything.
others are quiet for a while then post a lengthy in depth article.
