- 17 June 2011 18:44110737Why do you have to have one - as KCC own the roads and roundabouts, they could cut out the middle-man and offer them cheaper. But thenm they'd have to employ someone and so add to the costs. Could be someone local though offering the service.

An FOI request could find out how many DDC owned sites are sponsored, not sponsored, number of companies contacted, take up rate, percentage going to DDC and the company etc, but a quick phone call from a DDC councillor could probably find out as much using up less staff time - Roger? - Jan Higgins

17 June 2011 19:17110750I do not understand why a marketing company is needed at all, a leaflet sent with all business council tax demands would do the trick.
Nearly all roundabouts in Suffolk are sponsored by companies and most look very nice.-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"There are currently two Mobile Gateway available to offer Gateway services across Kent.
Both of the Mobile Gateway are in place to bring Gateway services to urban or rural areas where the needs are currently unmet - maybe as a result of insufficient transport links to a physical Gateway location, or because a specific borough does not yet have a physical Gateway in its town centre or high street.
The Mobile Gateway units have faciliated events such as Adult Learning Week, Backing Kent People campaign providing support for debt and benefits advice, and a Community Safety Roadshow.
