The Carnival Route was planned and secured with DDC long before the BBC insisted that the Tennis Final should be shown on the big screen.
If the tennis final runs over the Carnival will still go through the Market Square and the barriers for the Tennis final will be pulled back to allow it.
As neither event has actually taken place yet, it is awfully difficult to determine the level of interest from the public at this stage, we are hoping that as a small team of volunteers have worked extremely hard to turn around public opinion on the Carnival that everyone will enjoy it and / or the tennis
