A friend of mine lost his 2 year old male black lab from around Dover Lifeboat Station 3 days ago. Sightings have been made so we are confident he will be found well. Last sighting possibly at Cruise Terminals yesterday. The dog will respond better to females as is timid. If seen please contact police or alternatively Dover Lifeboat Station/coastguard who both know the owner. Thank you

Hi Helen
There is already a thread on this called Missing Dog. I am assuming its the same dog, see down the page at the moment. More info there...
Hopefully the dog will be found safe and well.

I heard that he has been seen at Shakespeare Beach a couple of times, Helen T has got hold of photos of the dog but was having difficulty in posting them on here, I suggested she e mails them to PaulB.

no news yet last I heard they were trying a pincher movement coming at him from two direction's on Sunday along the beach and Samphire hoe, as far as I know he is still wandering, being very evasive.
A dog is just not for christmas save some for boxing day
I so hope he is found. It is so distressing to lose a dog like this.

Yes, he is a lovely dog. I believe from the other thread he is called Bertie, lets hope he is reunited with his owner very soon. Good to see a picture of him, well done HelenT, now we know what to look out for

It would seem he is hanging around near cliff end of Shakespeare Beach. Owner is leaving food and fresh water out for him which is going missing but no way to tell it's him taking it. I walked from Shaky to Sandfire at low tide looking in the caves but no sign of him. It been well over a week now he must be very scared :

After all this time maybe somebody has taken a shine to him and kept him.

I think it's doubtful, he's is not fond of men and will not approach you most likely. This is why it's so hard to catc him. Fingers crossed we get another sighting at least soon

just got back from shakespeare beach, no sign of the errant canine.
a few groups of youngsters around having a crafty smoke, none had seen a dog but from what i gather they mostly stay on the steps and don't actually go onto the beach.

good stuff jan, this bertie seems a bit street wise or at least sea wise.
easy place to get caught out by the tide as you can see in the pics taken today.
