I tend to side with Reg on this one. A shining example being the lack of commemorating the start of WW1, if that gun carriage had not passed through Dover on its way to France there would have been nothing at all. DDC and DTC both seemed to have ignored such a significant date.

I fail to see how a minutes silence could ever devalue "things" namely the life of someone who has died, it should not matter if it happened years ago or yesterday.
