I for one would like to see it revived and dusted off again.

we disagree on this
the MP's scandal certainly wasn't forgotten and at the polls in recent local elections showed that.
this scandal has also showed untrustworthy those at the top have been
and people won't forget it

I guess the trick is, like Martin Bell, to demonstrate that there are some people with principles to which they will adhere, as well as the corrupt and the corruptible. I think we can forgive a few mistakes here and there - filling in a form to claim for things that did not exist or were out of scope is a wilful act.

I do think there are MP's from all sides wondering if they will still be in office come the next general election

Most ousted MPs still seem to remain on the payroll
Lords or committees or other

Coulson called Cameron`s bluff.
Cameron was so anxious to secure the services of Coulson that he ignored the number one key rule regarding such a
powerfull political position.Coulson`s security check was not appropriate and Coulson refused to sign a confidentiality clause
and Cameron backed off and did not insist. !!! Is this the act of a responsible PM ?
Also revealed is Osborne was given the job to secure the services of Coulson to win the election.Olly also,at a key time in the
BSkyB negotiations Brookes spent the weekend at Doneywood ( exchequers official residence ).These both fuel the demand
that Osborne appears at the Inquiry.Osborne is one of eight ministers granted `core participant`.The Doneywood episode has never been recorded.
Also in the biography in 2007 Cameron was concerned Coulson would write a memoir about his time working with
him.Cameron insisted that such a clause be part of Coulson`s contract but once again Coulson refused and once again Cameron backed off.Coulson had found Cameron`s level !!!!
Coulsons`s appointment will come under scrutiny tomorrow when Lord O`Donnell (God ) former Cabinet Secretary responsible for vetting security for No 10 employment.
Robert Jay will be in attendence.
Jeremy Hunt was history two weeks ago.....why is he still in the Cabinet?

surely these confidential aspects come in a lot these days and a prime mnister he should have existed, knowing he may end up(because of his position) in a mess such as this enquiry is clearly showing

i would like to see paul mcmullan brought back to the witness stand, not just for the entertsinment value but for the fact that he doesn't pretend to be squeaky clean and tells things how they are/were.
all the top brass at news international must have known how he got his stories.
The whole thing is rather irritating, actually. It is a bit like those people found guilty in a court of law who then object on a technicality: either you did it or you didn't, and the fact that a bit of paper was used incorrectly does not make you any less guilty.

The story has a long way to go but already it is prime for an Oscar winning film. The most important job will be casting it.
it will be extremely difficult to cast Robert Jay QC because as a QC he is on his own.It may mean he will have to play the part
himself.Delight to watch his tactics eg quality of searching questions, eye and body language.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
