Some (even the Guardian aren't happy) are saying the split was caused by Tom Watson to generate publicity for his new book, in which he revealed the committee's findings that News International had misled Parliament before they were published.

Of course not Howard, it's The Guardian and they wouldn't criticise the current number 1 in The Guardian Bookshop list, it's down on the right hand side

in that case the man is an utter cad and should be reprimanded. his constituency is one of the most deprived in the country, the people there want someone to work on their behalf and have no use for an empire builder.

US Senate have asked Leveson if News Corp have broken US Law.
Jay Rockerfeller, chairman of the Senate Committee for Commerce etc has asked if Leveson has any evidence relating to the
US.
It is the first time this approach has been made and the US have bye-passed the Parliamentary Committee and the Met to do so.
Leveson has a unique understanding of the scandal and he has a cache of information not yet in the Public Domain.
Rebekah Brookes is to appear in front of Leveson next Friday...that should be interesting.
Senate wants to know if the US Foreign Corruption Practices Act has been breached. This is for US citizens engaging in acts of
bribery abroad....plot thickens...
Both Cleggy and Ed support the MP`s report...will Flashman?

Jeremy Hunt failed to declare thousands in Donations from businesses which he has ministerial responsibilities.
Hunt under pressure already for `potential conflict of interest`on BSkyB affair now may face further investigation.
Asked why when questioned the details had been denied his office replied Mr Hunts diaries were not available.
Joint donations were also made to Hunt and his front bench collegue Ed Vaizey who had declared the donations but Hunt did
not.

It transpires yesterday that the emails/texts are `redacted`but the `core participants`( eight top coalition ministers ) will be
permitted to request sight of the redactions. The assistance being given to the `core participants`is rather `helpful`
The appearance of Coulson and Brooks could be hughly embarrassing for Cameron who is under considerable pressure
for his relationships with both of them.....the redacted documents could be helpful though!

cameron is again coming out of all of this badly
not looking like he is in control of the situation.
apart from his own geezers in his party letting him down
he has done little to help himself

Cameron agreed to meet Murdoch`s senior executives after meeting lobbyist Michel head of News Corp.
...Michel who dealt with Hunt`s special advisor set up meeting for Cameron with Jose Maria Aznar former PM of Spain and a member of Murdoch`s News Corp board.
Cameron was assiduously courted by Murdoch`s team building up to their BSkyB bid.Osborne and Hague also attended the meetings.
Cameron`s plan to have a major reshuffle will be overshadowed by Coulson and Brookes being questioned by Robert Jay QC this week.
Cameron`s secret meeting shows the extent of his engagement with Murdoch,Coulson and Brookes prior to his employment of Coulson.
Government`s panic resulted in Eight top Ministers including Cameron to request ``core participation``
Two days before Vince Cable was sacked whilst dealing with BSkyB bid with James Murdoch!!!!
No 10`s Chief of Staff and his deputy Kate Fall have enjoyed Murdoch`s hospitality.
If the inquiry proceeds along the same level of quality questions from Robert Jay QC all well and good.
There must not be a cover up.

surprized that hague has got caught up in this fiasco.
cameron is not coming out of this well
and once the findings in place think there will be a lot of rumblings on what went wrong, and who was in who's pocket

It was revealed last night Coulson had Shares in News Corp prior and during employment as a special advisor to and working
for Cameron, appearing before 2009 parliamentary inquiry he stated his only income was from the Conservative Party.
When employed by Cameron as his Communictions Director at No10 Coulson he would have had to divulge his Shareholdings.
The question, once again, for Cameron is `why did you employ Coulson despite the consiserable warnings not to`
Vince Cable says he feels totally vindicated and that he is happy that he dealt with the matter in an entirely proper manner.

whilst on the other hand cameron who had loads of warnings took the wrong route
which is costing him dearly

New Biography of the Prime Minister indicates the closeness to several of the most controversal people in News Corp.
Cameron emaied to Brookes before she resigned ``keep your head up,you will get through your difficulies``
Cameron agreed to meet Brookes at a point to point race as long we are not seen together.
When Brookes resigned Cameron sent an `intermediary`to Brookes to explain why contact had to be brought to an abrupt halt.
Followed by an email the gist of was ``sorry couldn`t have been as loyal as you have been to me,but Ed Milliband had me on the run``
It is thought previous text contact had been on a daily basis.
Oliver Litwin comments ``If you were on her side you have to see her every week`` and ``we should have all only seen her when absolutely necessary``
They all took turns to share the load. When it was Cameron`s turn to see her Camaron`s chief of staff Ed Liewellyn said
``It`s your turn Dave, put on the kid gloves``.
Brookes is on `stage`on Friday.Cameron will be watching/studying her evidence and preparing a counter strategy and have
the weekend to be `schooled` and plan his rebuttal ( if required )....Robert Jay QC awaits.....
