...am also having trouble doing the current frontpage as well... so I probably should go back to bl**dy bed and put a sack over my head!!!

- 17 February 2012 21:58154095Nice pics Howard. The Rodin isn't alone in Calais though - the Berlioz and Moliere are still there too, or they were last Monday. I suspect there is a lot of quibbling going on over possible sale prices for these vessels but the current economic climate isn't exactly conducive to making a sale. Even the Greeks can't afford any of them at the moment!
I did the last sailing to Dunkerque on the Norman Spirit at 1 a.m. this morning. Although a useful ship she's just a tad narrow for a lot of freight. A lot of wing-mirror banging goes on during disembarkation. On-board facilities are a little tired too, but I've seen worse.Phil West

Good to hear it from the drivers point of view Phil. Yes it does look a tad small when you see it in the harbour beside the new P&Os but still got nice clean lines especially with the new paintwork.
And speaking of a fine chassis and clean lines..see this picture..Howard missed out on the woman of the moment...Kelly Brook
Yes as we said, clean lines, long limbed and very colourful..and the ships not bad either!!

These are from the launch of the service and more than make up for me making a mess of my dates earlier. Some of these pictures are now showing on our frontpage, and now the frontpage looks very gorgeously decorous indeed.
The pictures were taken to mark the launch of the new service to Calais last friday..many thanks once again to the guys at DFDS/LDLINES for sending all their info and pictures through.
