What a great idea - thanks for letting us know Paul.
There are still some beautiful views to be had up there in the winter period - walks too.
Well done the National Trust.

It isn't mentioned on their website, and I have found it to be a bit sporadic in the past - they only seemed to charge if it seemed worthwhile having someone in the kiosk, so it is good to see it formalised/advertised.
Been nice knowing you :)

might be an idea for the council to extend it to dover and deal town centres during the month of december in an attempt to keep some of the local christmas spend in our shops.

Yes Vic, I think it is quite often free over the winter, but I think this is the first time there has been a sign there to tell passing traffic

The inner gates are locked at night but there is access to the parking bays overlooking the Docks.

You are right Martin and what a mess was left behind them last year, and what Mr Dixon is on about got stoped before, and if it happens again it will be stoped again.

that is a bit off people should know in advance if they are going to get free parking or not.
short sighted business attitude in my opinion.

nothing about that on their website, all sounds very unprofessional.
