LOL Keith - you are in a minority of one on that....clearly you have not watched the last two PMQs or read the press either...
Well, in case you did miss it, here is some reaction to the last session...
"I have to hand it to Dave. At PMQs he was surrounded by trouble - and what happens? He wins. Not just by a little but by a lot." - Ann Treneman, The Times (£)
Cameron "tonked Miliband out of the Oval and over the gasometer" - Quentin Letts, Daily Mail
"Cameron said: "It's well known we don't agree on everything about Europe but..." Oh, the savouring of that moment, "It's not as if we're brothers." Labour choked. Tories sang an Ode to Joy." - Simon Carr, The Independent
Yesterday [Cameron] teased his victim cruelly. "[Miliband] has united his party. Every single one of them has asked Santa for the same thing: a new leader for Christmas!" - Daily Telegraph

Cameron`s smart arse one liners.......headline seeking without results is beginning to wear off in it`s effectiveness.
Ed without charisma but intelligent assessment of our problems is beginning to break through but due to the public need for a leader to be seen as being dynamic it may need a change to win a general election.
With Ed you get what you see...............with Cameron.......????

Intelligent assessment of our problems? I have never seen any real assessment, let alone an intelligent one from Milliminor. Break through, hardly... Blimey - he does not even know whether he would have vetoed to deal last week.... pathetic, weak and inept is Milliminor.

reading that link in post 23 confirms to me that a form of proportional representation is the only fair way.
sadly the big 2 won't ever allow that to happen and upset their cosy arrangement of taking turns in running the country with not much more than a third of the electorate voting for them.

Its true Ed Miliband is a mixed blessing at PMQ. Some weeks he seems to do well, but often flatters to deceive. Its a political tango for Ed..three steps forward and two back. He most definitely did not have a good PMQ last wednesday, which was a pity just as we all went into Christmas recess. Cameron's jokes though are very much aimed at the guffaw element in his party..are often personal with reference to other family Miliband members, and generate cheap guffaws, but if Miliband responded with a personal slurr against Cameron family members I wonder how it would go down. But as we stand, Cameron gets the loudest cheers.
However this doesnt always play well though out in the country. You might remember Cameron's two blunders recently..the infamous " calm down dear!" and the "frustrated" Nadine Dorries one. This produced loud guffaws of the back slapping variety in The House and one would be forgiven for thinking Cameron was winning.
But... on the contrary. Out in the country people were disgusted by and large. So much so that Cameron's media monitors advised him to apologise as he was haemorraging voters. While his sometimes juvenile retorts are greeted by loud guffaws from his own party in the House..they will basically cheer at anything right or wrong...the jury is still out on whether its playing well out in the rest of the country.
It may be enjoyed by the already converted, but its the neutrals that hold sway in an election, the floaters. That section of the community up for grabs.
How is it all playing with them?
Many a good performer in the House couldnt win an election to save their lives.

left a message on yer fone other day
you are correct in your posting, if the general public guaged there voting on question time then even less will vote.
the less we see on tv of this shambles of a set up the better
there has to be a better way for parties to work for the good of the country.

exactly they act as if they are having a private stag party at pmq's completely unaware of what most people think when they tune in.
the speaker has made this point many times but little notice is taken.
the main reason that the reds must get a new leader is to put pressure on flashman so that he cannot respond with playground taunts.
what's that blokes name again?

i think that dave has to be very careful with red ed, it is in his interests that the leadership doesn't change.
the last thing he would want is a new dynamic red top honcho that would gain the support of the public at large.
we all remember neil kinnock rejoicing about the overthrow of margaret thatcher, simply not realising that getting shot of her was the last thing the reds wanted.

# 29.Totally agree with summary.
The last smart arse one liner we had who `even` got guffaws from the deciples at the expense of smooth operater
Tony B.was boy wonder Willy Hague who was soon shafted by the tory elite.
Even as Foreign Secretary he lost control of his department to Silly legs Fox and his friend, who were running a separate
operation of middle east affairs.
We really do not need smart arse one liners in charge of our country..............do we?

I think the tories have lost there way
and dave is trying to please to many people and balls are all in the air
and slowly they are all dropping, and as they drop dave looks even more leaderless.
1; trys to please the right wing of his party, but by doing this he risks pulling
apart the lib dems/co olition, and govt.
2; having shown the right wing of daves party they now sense blood and want
more, but dave wants to hold the cobbled together govt together but both
cant work to many divisions on europe alone
3; dave tries to pretend in speeches that the right wing of his party doesn';t
exist when in reality they are just starting to want more from him
4; europe alone is making so many divisions in his cobbled together govt
there is no way it can hold
5; the wednesday PMQ just switches people off, and dave before the general
election said he would not get bogged down with the shouts across the
chamber and hoo ha politics but within one session he has gone the same
way making cheap point scoring, which does little to help his cause, nor
does it do much for politics in general
theres a few comments to go on with

Cameron has taken PMQ`s to the lowest level of all time and that takes some doing. It is truely valueless to our country
especially at this time...........His Bullingdon training period has stood him in good stead not the country`s.

reg
think i have said a lot on that.
what is sadder is the broken promises on this issue alone
dave prior to the general election promised clean politics, and a new image at the despatch box
instead he makes personal comments on ed which does dave no justice
worse it switches people off voting
