Maybe I was wrong too, maybe the mention of 'floodgates' and 'rubbing our noses in' are somehow gibes against the left.
But, maybe they are crude attempts to foist the blame for all our ills upon 'them', the legitimate immigrants.
For sure New Labour did not utilise the delaying ploy that was available, but the EU rules open the UK to all and any EU Citizen.
There are no groups more attuned and practised at 'rubbing our noses in' than UKIP. A group that never knows, or seeks to know, what is wrong, but is always certain of what the answer is.
In any case, I have, for you KeithB, sat through umpteen youtube rantathons, each on topics with which you agree. You can simply do me the gentlemanly kindness of enduring 'rants' on topics other than those that have your full support from me.

What can it be, this "a bit racist"?
You have, on this thread, the only utterance I have ever made in support for the person who is, and has been for a long while, my MP.
We pass in the street, she and me, and from that all I can tell you is the pavement is more interesting or diverting than I must appear to be. Her behaviour does not offend me.

there used to be an act called abbot and costello, similar to the duo in the video but much more interesting.
