was having a quiet read and listening to music when local life brought me to my senses.
decided to don my steel toe capped carpet slippers and investigate, what fun ensued.
a fascinating dialogue at high decibels was going on between various residents, we have been discussing the merits of text speak this was pure anglo saxon speak.
a rather large and apparently agitated gentleman enquired as to my interest in events, i replied that i was an anthroplogist - he looked confused by my response.
shortly after our chat the police arrived in force and calmed proceedings down.
judging by previous experience there could be an update later.

could be right tom, true to form the police have now returned in force and there is a lot of door slamming going on.
a road of 200 houses and one or two cause all the problems.

time for a happy ending, a while back a springer spaniel was deployed(we all know about their talents) just now returned to the van with tail wagging.
a group of 6 police persons were gleefully exchanging high fives, most have gone but some are still savouring the moment.
was planning an early night but all that van and car door slammimg and loud macho chat put paid to that.

There was a meeting of MENSA at 2 this morning in the middle of the road in Castle St between Blakes and the carpet shop. About 12 young intellectuals of both sexes were involved in a serious philosophical discussion, unfortunately they had obviously consumed far too much fine claret and I found it difficult to follow their arguments even though they were putting their points across at great volume.
After a while two of these educated young ladies began to emphasise their views by trying to scratch out each others' eyes and pulling their hair. At the same time their male escorts started to try to push each other through the window of Action Carpets.
A quick 999 call brought 3 marked police cars within 2 minutes. How the argument was settled I have no idea as I went back to bed.

Love your post of events Howard, you make it sound like fun!!
Do you ever get a bit scared when things kick off though? Think I would be in your shoes, but then I'm a coward anyway

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

wasn't like that jacqui - all huff and puff and nothing else.
just like being in the audience for the jeremy kyle show.
i know what started it, a certain house blasts out music any time day or night, far enough from me not to suffer from it.
last evening a young mum lost it entirely due to trying to get her baby to sleep and the alpha male opposite was miffed as he considered that she should have been polite to him when asking him to turn the noise down.
coudn't make it up.
