the closure seems to be shrouded in mystery.

I can't be explicit about this as many of you will understand, but illness in the family has meant a diversion of energy is required, hence the closure.
What would help is if someone out there wants to take on a well kitted restaurant unit and provide Dover with another quality eatery.

I don't see the problem with the Farrier family being involved. I might be however if they ran a knackers yard!

At times this forum has a weird sense of humour .I know the family who ran the restaurant and I recall they were upset by the article in the local press when it opened .Now we learn the business has had to close for personal reasons .Before posting look at what you are writing .Not always funny .

Such a shame, we spend Easter at Jacks last year and had a fantastic Calvary, we was make to feel very welcome and we each received a Easter egg on leaving very nice touch. Such a shame to read about Jacks and I hope family / financial or whatever the cause of closure that they get through the rough patch and wish then luck in the future

Some strange things said on this thread, Derek has become very unwell, his family have lost a lot of money, people have lost jobs, I can't think of anything less funny tbh.

Good points David.
Very sorry to hear that Derek is unwell, hope it isn't too serious and he gets better soon.
