Labour will campaign for road safety measures, such as repairing potholes, retaining crash barriers and getting 20 mph speed limits around schools
at a residents meeting today at aycliffe school we were told by DDC that you will only get these 20 mph sign's if there is more than 2 or 3 schools on the same road such as in tower hamlets, so speeding motors can carry on doing what they want to on Aycliffe estate and keep putting our children in danger rather than putting up two sign's saying 20 mph.
And the other thing they are going to do is demand that drains are kept clean to stop flooding around the town;
Surly there are many more things they should be doing for this town, to me they seem to have lost the will to live with no polices of any substance come on were is the fire in your belly stand up to this Government Be honest to the people and you could change a lot.
They also say they will tackle anti-social behavior well they did not do to good last time,
Improve street cleaning and enforce dog-fouling by laws how long have we had these laws and only now they are going to enforce them,
And they are Going to boost affordable homes which no one can afford anyway,
I think there losing it. and I might have voted for them. All This was on a leaflet that came through my door at 5 pm Sunday Evening from councilor Jim Hood. I wish you luck Jim but more, more, fire please. I as a voter am sitting on the fence here someone tip me off give us something to get fired up about.

alan
try to split up each issue, use paragraphs.
people need to know what points you are making.
Howard, Thank you it was a bit rushed last night I think it looks better now.

alan,wot are labour losing exactly.
have they lost there way.
have they lost touch with the public.
or are you just griping again.
good luck for finding your answer[s].

Brian you seem to be a little bit intelligent read the post again and answer each question what did I say about having no polices , and to your Question yes two both and no I'm not Griping again if these parties want my vote i need to know what they are standing for and if Griping is your answer its no wonder people get pissed of with people who only support one party and not able to see the other side sad very sad. that why this country is in shit street.

alan, presuming i got the same leaflet as you,i treat them all with comptempt and consign them all to the bin.
all partys in genrael promise the earth but never deliver.
as far as i can see you got 3 choices,
1,stay at home and dont vote.
2,go ans vote for whatever party you like, evan if its the british nob party.
3,stand as an indipendant yourself.

Alan, the issues you mention depend mainly on national and not local government.
There is very little Labour councillor-candidates can promise before May, as Labour was in government for 13 years and they would find themselves campaigning against the woes that Labour brought on the Country!

Good point Alexander.
I've seen their nonsense leaflet and those points to do with highways and potholes etc. are discussed at the Joint Transportation meetings we have with Kent Highways.
People wouldn't vote for them based on that leaflet. There isn't much they can argue for, that isn't already being done.

Are there any other runners Brian ? I would have said it is a straight fight between Conservatives and Labour.
Labour's arguments and policies for DDC are so weak, I can't see them turning anyone's head.

Cant let this one go, the conservative leaflet as roger calls it, won't turn many heads.
iv predicted the seats to watch, and many back bench tory cllrs that hope they will hold there seats that iv spoken to are already prepaing themselves for opposition.
there is no doubt to the honest person that the end result will be very close, and roger is silly to write off the lib dems in whitfield, im sure his party have not done so, if they have they could be making a big error of judgement so its not a 2 horse race.
should any indys(reg hansell) lib dems get the seats the could well hold the balance of control whch would be interesting.
watch my prediction
the only one brave enough to do so

Keith, I doubt many back bench Conservatives would talk to you. Indeed thinking who are back bench Conservatives with the exception of Sue [who is not a back bencher ]who has known you for many years,or Roger I doubt the rest would come in contact with you.
Fantasy or misinformation again, you just can't help yourself Keith.
