Sadly Colette, all too true. We made the mistake of choosing a Saturday night;bouncers on the door and packed-out with gawpers*.
We repaired to The Old Eagle and had a great time with our own choice of Stones music the whole night long, a very pleasant pub.
* our visitor brought his 14 year old son along for the trip so were denied access.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.
Colette / Tom I used to visit the Hawley Arms a lot when I lived in Camden and that's where I first met Amy Winehouse when she was just becoming known as a singer. She was always running around and chatting in the tiny beer garden - happy days.
Sorry, still catching up here @ Tom, I was photographing the Ossuary (bone house) in the crypt in St Leonard's church in Hythe and then had to rush back to do some photos for a friend.
