Logging on this morning it seems that no one posted anything on here yesterday, after 7.32pm.
That must be a most unusual occurrance - is that true, or is my laptop not showing last evening's postings for some odd reason ?
I've made an earlier posting (on the Deal Pier topic) and that was O.K. but nothing last night - most odd.

Yes indeed Roger - that's the case..nothing wrong with your laptop.
We are all out enjoying high summer I guess! Especially so as it usually only last a few days!
Yes it is unusual.

I spent the evening watching the last 3 episodes of "Lotus Eaters", as my wife is well aware, I lust after Wanda Ventham. Apart from the "high summer" as PB puts it, what were others doing?

Ok so I'm sad .......... but I'm happy

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

I have been recovering from man-flu...very nearly came to a sticky end. (I shall spare you further details.)

Roger, I visited a couple of times during the evening and found the same as you did and put it down to the lovely evening, Olympics and holidays. I watched Ned Kelly on ITV4 which was very good.

I've been reciting logarithm tables backwards whilst composing the opening theme to the Rio games and playing eight online chess games to test my faculties. So far it's working well but I'm feeling quite hungry.

I did mean to ask you Jeane, to drop the other shoe. What photographic assignment might this be?

Yes, Howard, in a small way. This will be my first time back there since the fire, although judging by the pictures on it's web page the place looks just the same.
I only get over there on occasions such as this when an old friend visits from Boston USA. Just a bunch of ageing Jocks muttering about how it used to be in our day, we all came down in the early seventies.

Pleased to hear you were all having a good time; I was having such a good evening, I've forgotten what I was doing !!! It just seemed odd that 7.32 was the last posting that evening and I didn't notice that till the next morning.
Have a lovely Sunday.
