Invitation for All Forumites: Annual David Hannent garden party.
- 26 June 2011 06:51111873Yes its that time again. Time for that fab garden party at the rear of 41 Castle Street and all forumites are welcome. Big Dave has asked me to put this up for him as he is taking a temporary sabbathical from the forum.
This is always a very good event and very much part of the social calender.
He does a mean BBQ..man does he sizzle!!
It starts at 3pm Sunday 3rd July, thats next week innit, and finishes when the Carnival starts..at that point we usually all filter out onto the street to see the event unfurl before our very eyes...by then slightly sozzled eyes.
"I have already prepared 5 cases of beer and one of cola." says DavidH.
so there you have it. Bring food and a bottle! all helps!
We havent heard much about the Carnival this time so hopefully all in order there. Good luck to them too.

So its shaping up, and I think i spoke to Homebase and they were having a float as well ( i volunteered the driver!!) So hope that answers some questions. I can remember the first time I went I was a wee bit nervous so I took along my racing whippet and homing pigeons for company just in case nobody spoke to the brash broken nosed left wing northern git.However my dripping and salt butties broke the ice and I never looked back.It really was a great day.
