But who are you doing this for Vic?
Consistently the electorate have shown they do not want you to represent them so you cannot be doing it for them, so you must be doing it to satisfy your own ego.

Vic, most people don't turn out anymore to vote for Parliament.
The latest by-election, in South Shields, was to replace an MP who emigrated to America, the second to do so since May 2010.
Less than 40% bothered to turn out, without counting the spoiled votes with unmentionable words.
Parliament is doing its best to scare Scotland out of the Union by 2014, so by 2015 they may have scared many more parts of Britain out of the current Union.
We've been promised by the Government austerity, mass unemployment, personal debt and bankruptcy until the year 2026, and I understood this as Treason.
We need to concentrate on our own County now.

with all due respect alex i do not see paul carter and gordon cowan getting together and declaring u.d.i
if they did we would end up like scotland with people refusing us the opportunity to choose what currency we would have.

Well firstly, Howard, the Kentish Government is in a small part Labour, secondly, the pound is based on a debt bubble, with a £1 trillion debt issue. There is no way Gideon will ever get Britain out of this debt by conventional methods.
Like Scotland, Kent is a net contributor to the Treasury, as too are all British lands, with the exception of London.
But it should be evident that London is about to explode, to spill over millions of unemployed residents into the Shires, literally deported from London by order of "the government" so as to reduce the cost of housing benefits, while millions more travel onto London from all over the world, greeted with open arms by Boris Johnson, and settling down in the vacated houses of those unemployed families deported to the rest of England.
London is simply becoming an Umschlagsplatz, a transition station, and how long will it take before the London gangs of unemployed knife carriers are also deported to the Shires?
And anyway, Howard, we were taught that we have a Union with Scotland, and so if Scotland leaves, we should do it together.
After all, we're all in this together.
I've figured out that the Government is deliberately provoking us.
The Cabinet's speeches of "Austerity till 2026" have struck a cord.

The author of the thread just can never be believed as iv said in other threads
and the point of standing as Ross says is purely an ego trip
as ross says the author has been rejected so many times what is the point of getting a few votes?
who does it benefit the authors ego!!!!!!!!

If Vic wants to stand as candidate MP, that's his business.
You yourself said, Keith, that the Labour candidate MP has been imposed by Labour on a discriminatory basis.
Yet no-one has said she should not stand.

Alexander
You are correct the author can stand if he show wishes, that I don't dispute, the problem the electorate would have is two fold;
1; the author has failed so many times before and when in election came last
2; No one realy knows what he stands for as he has been through all the main parties many times and Indy
thus it would be difficult to vote for him

Vic old mate I have to be honest and say it is time you hung up your electoral hat no matter which colour it is. You have had a good try and done more than most in trying, but you need to sit back now and enjoy life with Leslie.
All this "I am not standing any more" then in the next post saying "you will standing next time round" does nothing for your credibility, so have a Bars Bar and a Bovril sit back, think about things and enjoy life.

Its very easy for one to say that it I going to pack up, but when members of the public tell you to keep going it becomes very hard to do just that.

Then why do all these members of public not vote you in? I am sorry to have say this but maybe they want to see you make a fool of yourself yet again.
You really should do as Harry suggests and retire gracefully from the political arena and devote more time to your family and leisure activities.

It really should be Vic's decision to try his hand at becoming MP.
