Hi Everyone. Let me introduce myself as one of the team behind Dover Marine Services. We have been running the highly successful Dover Sea Safari since last May. Working alongside Vista Leisure the business has grown and new doors have opened. Over the coming days we will be in a position to announce the new operations for Dover Sea Sports running from the centre.
The yellow boats pictured are our Pico's that are the first of our fleet to be delivered.
As Kyle has mentioned in the above post, check out our Facebook page and 'like' us.
Feel free to come and say hello

Hi James - welcome to the Forum.
Are you the Sea-Safari chap I spoke to on Sunday about my Tourism Strategy ? If so, it was good talking to you and I wish you well for the season.
Are you there every day now ?

Hi Roger, yes that was myself. As you say, it was good to chat....even if a bit hectic!
I personally am not at the centre everyday, however, Stuart manages the Sea Sports side will be once the office is up and running. I will be there most weekends from Easter onwards.
Feel free to pop in.
Regards

I know I am being picky but it is a shame that the name in large letters on the second picture does not promote Dover at all.

great news about the sea sports activities continuing and our inshore water providing a backdrop for promenade and pier users to enjoy.
i think we were all concerned when the previous one closed.

Yes indeed, great news about the continuing sea sports activities
I lunched at the Hythe Bay Seafood Restaurant, Dover, last Tuesday and as always the food was excellent. I was with some friends from Hythe who came to Dover especially to sample the menu there as they usually lunch at the Hythe restaurant. Unfortunately it was a gloomy day, no sunshine but they were very impressed with the Dover restaurant. They had a very good specials menu on offer which was very reasonably priced and there were lots of diners there on the day.
On another tangent I thought I would share with you how appalled they were with the state of the A20 route to Dover. They said it was absolutely littered with rubbish from the tunnel exit to the Aycliffe roundabout. One of my friends parents from Germany had never been to Dover before as they usually drive via the Channel Tunnel to Hythe to visit their Daughter.
It certainly is not a good sight for tourists to see when they are nearing Dover for the first time or indeed anytime for that matter. Of course it is the trucks that are at fault but I do wish that there was some system in place to clear this horrible mess on a frequent basis

Yes Jan, an 'At Dover' might do the trick.
On the front page 'beach rental' gets a mention. I suppose this means that you can hire from a bod on the beach and not that you must on no account go on the beach until you have paid for the privilege.

I took it from what ColetteB said that this is restaurant number two?
[I should really compose a disclaimer to go below what I 'know' of life on the ground in Dover?]

restaurants rarely boast of where they are we have many bombay tandooris all over our fair land.
best to celebrate a local success story, many of us had a bad feeling about the activities on the waves, but all is well.
