There are actually several nations with a homelessness level of less than 0.05% of the population they're obviously doing something right!
Religion or culture plays no factor in homelessness issues it's all about the care and compassion of local and national government policies
Number of Homeless % of population
Japan 6,235 0.005%
Croatia 462 0.01%
Hong Kong 1,403 0.02%
Israel 1,831 0.02%
South Korea 11,340 0.022%
Portugal 3,000 0.03%
Mexico 40,911 0.04%
Shamefully the UK figures are
United Kingdom 307,000 0.46%
We're significantly richer than these nations Except possibly Japan we need to be asking how their levels are so low! We are only 5 places better than Uganda for goodness sake!

Maybe those figures are based on those who had no homes came here putting ours up also? It is possible because seeing some of those countries with extremely low homeless makes no sense to our figures in UK - Shame on Queen and Government, councils of this country.

I disagree. All of the countries you cite are mostly mono-cultural. Like it or not the more people are 'like us' the more we are willing to help them. It's down to evolutionary biology.
Also if you look at the thousands of food banks around the world they tend to be in 'Christian' countries having spread from North America initially to the Americas and Europe - though alternative facility offering food to the hungry can be found worldwide wherever there are sizeable Sikh communities.
There is very comparatively little 'charity' in Muslim countries - in spite of their concept of Sadaqa and Zakat - probably because it is a fairly primitive 'fatalistic' religion, always wittering about 'Insha'Allah' rather than giving adherents agency in sorting out their future - one only has to look at the willingness for the Saudis to provide flat pack mosques for refugees to help them in the next world rather than the shelter they might find useful in this.

I see what you're saying and the statistics to argue part of the point but when it comes to North America we fall well behind compared to them could argue because of the huge population in the USA that it's skewed but their figure is 0.17%
One nation significantly bucks this trend in the form of India believe it or not their % is signficantly lower than our even when considering is a polytheistic nation/culture and Spain are doing very good in the league table. in terms of Western Europe we are possible bottom with Spain being the best at 0.09%
It's a hugely complicated issue but even if people try to tackle 1 part of the issue that is one step in the right direction

Charitable giving is almost plumbed into their faith.
Meanwhile locally perhaps we could all do our bit by supporting things like the Emmaus at Dover?

Next time you 'need' some new furniture - well worth a look. I'm sitting on one of their chairs as I type this.

I always wonder how many of those who say how terrible this happened and more should be done, do anything themselves.
Apparently this poor man was well known by those involved with the homeless locally and was well liked, he had no family his parents having previously died.

Just a few other souls that were lost on streets found on internet. As stated below 'MPs have called on the government to make a commitment to end rough sleeping after the "terrible tragedy". However, people still dying and will die.
2013- A homeless man's body was spotted floating in the Channel by ferry passengers after he had jumped from the White Cliffs of Dover, an inquest heard.Daniel Beggs was seen floating lifeless around seven miles off the coast on August 13 last year before his body was recovered by the coastguard. The 42-year-old was found with multiple severe injuries that were “consistent with a fall from a significant height”, according to pathologist Dr Dominic Chambers.Toxicology reports also found that Mr Beggs had a potentially fatal level of the antidepressant Sertraline in his system. The inquest heard how Mr Beggs had been suffering from depression for a number of years and had spent 12 years in prison before his release in 2013.Mr Beggs had a history of substance misuse but on July 27, he voluntarily attended A&E at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. He said he was in a “mental crisis” and planned on killing himself, citing how he had recently been to the cliffs in Dover with the intention of throwing himself off but backed out and sought help. After leaving hospital, he damaged a car in Ashford and waited by the vehicle to be arrested by Kent Police, where – in interview – he once again reiterated his intentions to take his own life. He was seen by mental health nurses who recognised he was a “danger to himself” and was taken by police to The Lakes mental health unit in Colchester, Essex as he was registered with a GP in Clacton-on-Sea.Mr Beggs was reported to have “progressed well” at the unit and was declared fit for medical discharge on August 9.Just three days later, his body was seen floating in the ocean before it was eventually recovered the following day.The medical cause of death was listed as multiple severe injuries and senior coroner Patricia Harding recorded a verdict of suicide and described how Mr Beggs had issued a “cry for help”.Mrs Harding said: “That is further evident from the fact that on leaving the hospital he committed an offence against property and waited to be arrested.“What happened between Mr Beggs being discharged and his death is not known – he was homeless and had indicated that his intention was to move to Kent.“Although how he entered the water was unwitnessed, he suffered injuries consistent with a fall from a great height and had shown previous intention to take his own life.“Mr Beggs had a fatal level of Sertraline in his system and he had suffered from recurrent depression for some considerable time.“He had also expressed his specific intention to take his own life by jumping from the cliffs in Kent.“There is no evidence of any third party involvement.“By considering the evidence that he did intent to take his own life, I will therefore conclude that this was a suicide.”
8 Dec 2017-The body of a homeless woman has been found in the same doorway where her aunt died seven years ago. Kathleen O’Sullivan, 44, was found dead at 8am in a doorway outside a homeless shelter it is believed she had been trying to get into.Kathleen was thought to suffer with emphysema and pleurisy in addition to other health issues and was still grieving the loss of one of her two sons. She was the third person to die on the streets of Ireland in the last 10 days.
23 January 2018-A 66-year-old homeless man found dead in a town centre allegedly had his sleeping bag taken away by the local council days before. The rough sleeper, known only as 'Kev', was found under a flyover in a car park in Bournemouth, Dorset, yards from the council's offices.Kev's body was discovered by a friend who claims Bournemouth Borough Council had 'removed his sleeping bag and possessions' from the site during a recent tidy-up.Previously, the council has come under fire for playing bagpipe music throughout the night to stop homeless people sleeping at the town's bus and railway station. They were also criticised for buying one-way tickets for rough sleepers to leave the town. The unnamed friend, who had known 'Kev' for 18 months, said: 'I put my hand on him to shake him and that's when I knew something was wrong and my heart sank.'A couple of weeks ago he said the council took his sleeping bag.
