Theres nothing to debate here Keith.
Typical of some posters, something really positive is being done for the good of the town and its youngsters and all they can do is moan.
It seems that 1 or 2 of those moaning don't even live or work in Dover, makes you wonder what their agenda is.

Keith I didn't call anyONE names!
Jan, this is why the Town Team are dealing with the problem. Engaging with the College and sorting out an eyesore is good news for all concerned The wider public and visitors will benefit also.

Neither live nor work in the town...just like a tourist/visitor. The very people for whom the the money and effort was spent, so its said.
All this reminds me of that fellow that can be seen, from early morn on into the night, sitting outside a local hostelry, watching as all work is done for him. At least now we may know him as a local property owner.
Any pictures?
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

Not quite sure who is supposed to be moaning about the work being done by the youngsters but by living in the centre of town I feel I am justified in moaning about what DDC are not doing.

Try #7 and #10 Howard.
I don't consider Jan to be moaning, if she is criticising DDC she has my support. Once again local people have got off their backsides and sorted something that DDC even can't or can't be bothered to do.
Perhaps if 1 or 2 weren't so addicted to photo opportunities and self promotion we might make progress.

i wouldn't call those posts moans david, also irrelevant where any poster lives/works - tom takes more of an interest in dover than many lifelong residents.

..."Estate agent Mr Crowley said the team would provide a theme for the artwork to replace the existing controversial Welcome to Dover sign now on display in Townwall Street"..
I thought it was only the Dover Express that made the disparaging comments about the sign and the rest of us thought it was fine. The new plan seems like a good idea and should brighten the place up even more.

disparaging comments have been all over the net from the usual keyboard warriors.
the dover society did not help things in the initial stage with snide comments that sparked an exchange of e mails that would make one's hair curl.

The plans for this were discussed at this month's open meeting of the Town Team, lots of enthusiasm and good ideas were coming forward - and there's lots more to come.

Alan, please get your facts right.
Howard and myself have not bitced about these new plans from the Town Team that Howard has posted, anything prior to #33 are about six months old.
I actually said it was a good idea and Howard explained there had been more disparaging comments than just the Dover Express.
