John has the right idea .The main problem too many groups different pots of money. Some want the glory. It does not help with Councillors taking pot shots at each other.Elections are over a year away get on with working together. Its good. News with the grants for empty properties, see DDC press release.I think Paul has left DDC in a very good position nice to read the article in the Mercury, with the current Leader stating this .

I've been mulling over the names of groups trying to help the town. Firstly we have the business led Town Team who look more at major projects, Big Local who are more involved in community stuff, sponsoring events and running workshops in their hub, Love Dover who plan to purchase town centre buildings then converting them into retail/residential units, Dover Community Association, White Cliffs Tourism Association, Transition Dover and Destination Dover, Dover Arts Development.
Probably others that I have forgotten about or not aware of but really it needs one body to lead them all.

I agree Howhard McSqueeky
But please oh please can we ensure it is NOT one of our councils
If we must have an umbrella body then can it please be like Destination Dover, where each of the funding partners provides a director for the board.
