There lots of very well off living in and around Dover so we need to keep them here and get more of them. Dover has some who not so well off and some that are.with out the rich ones Dover will suffer even more then it does now,Dover I believe is on the way back up but will only be done by money which the well off can bring and use in the area .Dover has at this time the very best chance to get back on its feet but can only be done if the public also believe it and help. Not in the pass 40years has Dover a chance like it has now.I have been born in 1942 so I think I qualify to talk in this manner.

Vic there is a big difference between being "very well off" and having the extremely large income needed to own and run a helicopter. As far as I know there we do not have a billionaire (Richard Branson sort) living in the vicinity of Dover.

Good I think my sons get taxed enough.I even pay tax on my small pension .Ibegrudge my money going to people who can’t help them selves. When I used to inspect Council properties some of the younger tenants were too lazy to cut their grass and collect their rubbish .I recall watching a young chap whilst I told him to put his rubbish into sacks .
You can only tax people so far .

What has that got to do with a helicopter pad?

I give up trying to talk sense to someone who is so blinkered in their old age.
A bit rude I know but going by some of the rubbish being posted lately maybe understandable.

I know of 2 billionaires (or at least near-billionaires) who live in the District.

The District is a large area, I thought this was about Dover. There was one person (or still is) who had their own landing area for their small plane but not in Dover area.
