After all the top level people in Camerons life had warned him not to employ Coulson it is revealed the normal top level security checks by Government investigators had been avoided??!!
Also revealed that Coulson whilst working as the Prime minister communications chief was still being paid by NI amounting to several hundred thousand dollars....plus a company car .....plus private health care.
Coulson had given evidence to Parliament in July 2009 that he was not being paid by any other company whilst in the employment of Cameron/Government.
This is not just a case of an error of judgement..............................

All to do with his severance package which is not the same as being paid.

jan;
iv read the story, and it also says that mr coulson made it clear he was resigning as all this happened on his watch
so the was no need fopr news of the world to make any payment to him.
In the same article the tories are clearly agreeing it shouldn't have happened, but they knew nothing about it, and was agreed before he came into tory empoyment.
at the end of the day, so many advisors warned our leadersless mr cameron but he chose to ignore all those warnings, and of course that was his choice, but its all coming back to bite our leaderless mr cameron now

Cartoons tell a story of a thousand words.
``Severance``
In the `wicked `world of Big Business,Power,Politics etc.`Severance` can be can be a useful tool.
It is normally larger than the pay packet that a `high flyer`will receive when he `jumps`` ship to a competitor or where he will be `usefull`to his previous Boss.
ie.Severance is a very convenient way to keep paying a useful ex-employee.

IT's just legalised corruption.
our MP'S and banks showed us the way that they could quite legally rip us off
heres now another example of a wrong doer who clearly said he would go because this disgusting saga happened on his watch yet still he gets a big big pay off.
the likes of you and me would never get such an opportunity.
its these types of issues that frustrates the struggling classes,
and leaderless cameron says we are all in together
we certainly are !!!!!!!!

Leading article: Keep dodging, Prime Minister
For a normal organisation, hiring a normal member of staff, the details of a severance package from their previous employer would not be a matter for inquiry. But the leader of the Conservative Party, as David Cameron then was, is not a normal employer. And Andy Coulson - recently resigned from the News of the World after one of his staff was jailed for phone hacking - was no normal appointment.
Regardless of what details emerge as to News International's usual severance agreements, the revelation that Mr Coulson was still on the (very generous) Murdoch payroll after he started as the Tory head of communications in 2007 looks bad for the Prime Minister.
The suggestion that Mr Cameron might not have known of the arrangements does little to improve the situation. At best it adds weight to allegations of imprudence and sloppy procedure. At worst, it fuels suspicions of questions deliberately not asked, in order not to know the answer.
Mr Cameron has had to dodge hard to avoid the sprays of dirt from the phone-hacking scandal. With each revelation, the questions about his judgement become more pressing and the fancy footwork harder to pull off.
