Thank you Kathy for the video.
It is amazing how clever the demolition people are to bring all four buildings down so safely.

Kathy ..... I love you!!!
I so wanted to see it today but couldn't be there, but watching this video was almost like being there - amazing. Thank you so much for getting it up so quickly, the photographer was brilliant. You have made me very happy

There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

Thank you! I would have loved to have been able to see this.
What would my mum have said, if she'd have known? One of my nieces always pretended they were witches' towers when we went over to Broadstairs, so we all had to hide as we went past, every time.

I have very mixed feelings - amazing pictures and footage of a very sad event. I will miss the towers very much as part of that landscape. Well done Paul and Kathy for getting some great pictures and footage, and sharing them with those of us who couldn't make it.

Thanks all
Lucky to get as close as I did (it was 30 mins walk each way so probably put a few people off!!). I was expecting it to be closed over at the railway crossing at the fort !
Been nice knowing you :)

Excellent videos and photos, interesting to see a landscape without the ex-cooling towers, personally I believe they were left there for way too long, the same goes for Battersea Power Station. Landmarks yes, but no longer useful, its good to move forward Burlington House next!

Yes indeed excellent stuff there all round guys. Really great. Scotchies striking pictures showing the moment of impact now adorn our frontpage too and have linked the f/p through to this thread also.

Excellent photos. The Front Page one really showing the destructive power of the blast - the tower looks as if it made of cloth.
