With no leaflets going around through letterboxes, and no public speeches to the crowds, how were the people supposed to know what UKIP had to offer once inside Invicta House in Maidstone?
What policies do UKIP have for Kent?
If one had some policies to offer and wanted to stand as a UKIP candidate, would UKIP as a party offer a podium to speak from and organise a gathering at the village green?
Would UKIP central office publicly acclaim that candidate to the Public and explain to the People why they should vote that person?
Would Nigel Farage put a personal word in for that candidate on ITV?

Mr Bibby is right in what he is saying the main partys are to blame for what happen .In the end the public will win if and only if they turn out to vote,if not than they are to blame aswell.

Leaflets, Vic, I saw no UKIP leaflets!
Where were the speeches to the Public? Where was the debate?
Did UKIP go around asking us the People what we think and what our opinions are?
Try involving the Public in debate. UKIP never offered me a podium to speak to the crowds!
And they seem to have a habit here of shying away from such things.
I'd have expected gatherings, brass bands, hailing the crowds, some spice and excitement. Maypole dances, distribution of wheat and grain...
Do get a bit of life going in UKIP, make it exciting!
I told you this three years ago, Vic!
Just sitting about twiddling one's thumbs and remaining silent is just down-right boring.

When a member of UKIP, I had the impression that everyone else in the party was afraid that if I stood and spoke to a crowd, I'd sneeze in the megaphone and blow the windows out with a few phrases.
Let's face it, you never trusted me.

In fact I find more fun and joy in going to the Castle and watching the displays of good old Henry II talking to the Public.
He explains away his policies, his problems in governing the Realm and his lands in France, he gives explanations, he actualy talks to his people and GETS THEM INVOLVED!!!!!:

Trouble is that Henry is long dead and all you are hearing is an actor, the man himself would have trampled all over us common serfs without thinking twice......................................much as our politicians of any colour in local and national government do now when in power.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Jan
getting to today, we have a lot of great people in parliament and local councils, we need to encourage those we support from all parties
ALL POSTS ARE MY OWN PERSONAL VIEWS

We have a disaster in Parliament, Keith.
And Local Government in Kent needs to challenge "the Government".
We have to stand up and tell them that this is our County, and that we will not be rubbished off into austerity and mass unemployment by them.
Fortunately Labour in Kent is a largely unwanted party, for reasons we all know.

Noticed that too, Howard.
Invicta House is fed up with Government policies.
Both the Kentish Government and myself have in the past lobbied "the Government" for revenues we each believed Kent deserves, but got nothing out of it, just a deaf ear.
All they did was to take more taxes from Kent and reduce the local Authority budgets by 40%.
But they remembered that Kent is there for housing benefits for unemployed Londoners. As well as taking our taxes.
