So sorry to hear about Bob, sadly the village is not the best place to live when you are can not drive.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

For the moment, Bob is still keeping up his interest in Dover and can remember things a long way back, but finds it increasingly difficult to manage his computer (don't we all at times!). We have a lot of good friends and neighbours who are helping with shopping and transport which is lovely.
Maggie - I heard someone else was enquiring about the POW camp, and maybe in the spring Bob (and I) will take them round, I should be a lot more mobile soon.

Kath, I have just seen this thread (flu struck me down recently) and I would like to wish you well after your recent hip operation. You seem to be making good strides forward to recovery and I'm pleased to hear that the op went well. Please take special extra care especially in these current weather conditions.
Also so sorry to hear about Bob, my dear Mam was diagnosed with alzheimer's so I do know how difficult it can be. It's a blessing that you have a good circle of friends and neighbours to help you out.
