my lodge is open to all - the grand order of opportunists, chancers and bung recipients does not discriminate against anybody.

Yes Howard, that I can believe. It is only 'suckers' that are never to get an even break.

David, in the case of golf so they can play on one of the top courses in the country, can you imagine the outcry if the national women's football team was barred from playing at Wembley simply because of they were women.
Tom, for the more belligerent activists that would certainly be the reason.

Jan, Wembley is not a private members club, I'm afraid you're clutching at straws.
Muirfield will be full of women this week, they clearly have no objections.

David not clutching at straws at all I was just trying to give a possible example. I really do not care either way I have already said I am not worried about single sex clubs or institutions.
However..........I do remember how I felt years ago when I was caddying for my husband to be and he was reprimanded because women were not allowed on that particular London course on a Sunday.
I am not in the mood for one of your bickering type of debates,

, it is much too nice to stay indoors so I am off outside with my book by Madge Swindells about South Africa in the early 1980s, BTW her aunt lived in River.

Martin P...I wonder if you are as open minded about women being paid the same as men in sport?

Helen are you referring to the ladies and mens singles at Wimbledon ? the one where the Ladies play a best of 3 sets half paced game that is over in under a hour and the Men play a high speed best of 5 sets game that can go on for hours and is the highlight of the Wimbledon Tournament? oh and they both get paid the same prize money

As I said earlier it is a womans world

i suppose that logically they should have just have a joint singles competition and the prize money spread across the winners and those that come close.

The same Wimbledon where every time a female scores a point, they pan to the crowd, and every time a male scores a point, they pan to the respective girlfriend/partner.
If only this kind of symbolism could be transcribed in some kind of metaphysical way, Freemasons would be able to inform us on where we are going wrong.
Everytime I try to engage a Freemason on the golden section, they look blankly at me. Perhaps they should be had on trade discription rather than just bland discrimination.
