Ooops Roger I think you might have accidently deleted your post there, which was probably a response to John Heron's information that the rubbish is there regularly at Gaol Lane as he takes the kids to school.
Will add another picture now...this time of Terry Sutton as he approaches the mounds of rubbish.

Looks like I did Paul; I'm sure I saw two, that why I deleted the second one - must have been because it is at page switch-over.
I just said thanks John, I'll let DDC know, emphasising the need to tell those living above the shops, that they simply can not do this - or they will be prosecuted. The Landlords need to know too.

that's another point, do the landlords ever go round to see what their tenants are up to?

The simple answer is no Howard, so long as the rent is paid. We used to drive past our house every so often to check when we had a tenant but never called.
Many years ago when we were council tenants we never saw a representative the whole time we were renting, I wonder if it is the same now as long as there are no problems reported.

the old boston guest house at the junction of folkestone road and malvern road can beat gaol lane hands down, as the residents were beginning to run out of space they have chosen to remove the fence to the adjoining property and dump mattresses and other furniture there.
this is despite having a front garden choc a bloc with bins and various industrial size waste containers at the back.
i decided to to take a photo yesterday as it would make dover look like a third world favella.

i would suggest that you take deep breaths and any necessary blood pressure medication before you go roger.
incidentally dolphin passage is now awash with rubbish, too dark for any clear photos though.

Judging by what I'm hearing here too its chaos in a whole string of places.

Sadly that may be true Paul. The problem is not the Council but the lazy buggers who chuck it out on the pavement/walkway, knowing they are wrong doing that, but don't care.
They need talking to and fining if they don't conform.

Not yet Howard, I was in Canterbury hospital all day yesterday and today I had urgent things to do this morning and lunchtime I went to Ashford Make-Ready Ambulance Station as part of DDCs Scrutiny committee and didn't get home till after 5pm.
I'll try tomorrow morning, but I am now on an exercise regime at the Triangles Monday and Wednesday mornings in Coombe Valley, then afterwards, the Mary Portas meeting lunchtime, so it may be in the afternoon.

blimey roger i hope you keep a diary so that you know where you should be at any given time.
with regard to the exercise regime i can recommend a look alike agency, they will find someone to do it for you for a reasonable fee.

Thanks Howard, but I need to lose the weight and get a bit fitter than I am, so I won't need that agency.
Thankfully I do have a diary.

Roger, did you see the programme about exercise on BBC2 tonight, very interesting for those that hate the idea of going to a gym like me. Very short intense exercise especially for those prone to diabetes was as good as going to the gym if I understood correctly.
Sorry for going off topic but well worth a watch on iplayer.

No, I din't see it Jan, we were enjoying ourselves at Blakes quiz night, but I did record it, so will watch it as soon as I can.
Might save a lot of effort, but all the diabetic nurses and specialist nurses I see, say walking for around an hour a day will help with Blood-Pressure, the heart, weight-loss and blood-sugar, not sure if 3 minutes a week can do all that, but I will look at it.
Back to talking rubbish (no change there then ?).
