took me some time to find this thread, the accused has pleaded guilty at canterbury crown court to unlawful wounding, possessing a firearm and perverting the course of justice.
the gun, a remington texas revolver, was purchased legally by his mother in france.

The gun might have been purchased legally in France but both mother and son would have known it was illegal to possess a gun in this country.

since the last post i learned that the lawyer for the defendant claimed that the gun was purchased legally, this was accepted by the court but not true.
nor sure what sort of mum would buy her teenage son a gun anyway.
how on earth did it get past the metal detectors when the battery in my hearing aid sets the thing off?
finally, yes they would both have known our gun laws.

Another bad accident, apparently the road is closed so avoid the area if you can.
