  I am going to try and get there tonight but can anyone push me around..still in wheelchair after breaking leg and ankle at Western Heights.
  What time will it finish as need to try and get a lift?

  It is on Live from 7:30 until 8:00 so not long after then I would imagine.
  
  Sorry cannot do anything myself, but it may be worth ringing the Castle as they have motorised buggies available that you might be able to use

  this chap was the most interesting, just caught his name as peter, he was apprentice electrician 70 yes seventy years ago in the wartime tunnels.
  
  he expressed great surprise at what good condition they were in, told a couple of anecdotes, most were based around secrecy.
  he wasn't allowed to talk to anyone about his work.
  
  one day churchill turned up and asked his mate what he was doing, the reply came back "no idea i only work here".
  
  churchill nodded and smiled.

  Grandson Jamie has just got home and said how cold it was up there and how much he enjoyed the experience. He chatted with several people and said how nice Sian Williams and Dan Snow are, also how tiny Sian is.
  
  As a viewer I was a little disappointed with the production wishing they had concentrated more on the history of Kent through the ages and not shown the other items.

  That was interesting, a lot of of standing around and being shepherded to certain areas into camera view.
  
  Dan and Sian were very nice, straight after the filming they went straight to the crowds and chatted, posed for photos and signed autographs. It was all very good natured and friendly - I think Sian was genuinely flabbergasted when she hit the target with that crossbow. It really was quite windy and cold up there.
  
  The internet question about what the origin of the word Knight that Sian threw at Dan was totally set up, one of the production team was wandering around with it on a card much earlier in the evening. Oh well, it doesn't really matter.
  
  I see Colette got a starring shot - of course! Did anyone else spot Vic? Thanks to Paul for arranging it.

  i bet it was cold up there.
  
  have to say i was not impressed with the programme, the presenters came across as addressing an audience of school children.
  
  history programmes have become much more accessible over recent years but tonight was clearly a dumbed down production.
  
  the dialogue between a presenter and another bloke(think it was a hairdresser) was completely irrelevant and condescending to the audience
  
  i hope things improve.

  Hope people enjoyed it - was interesting seeing something filmed live so it will be nice to see the polished show later. Managed to have a chat with Dan afterward about being a patron for the Western Heights Preservation Society

  It's not really a serious history programme though Howard, it's a light entertainment history in a magazine style. Totally dumbed down, granted, but it's early evening BBC1, so what did you really expect?
