MAJOR pub chain Wetherspoons may plan to open in Deal next year but a much more intimate public house is out to steal their thunder.

I cant believe it! Great story. To me Mark is a headteacher and I have always known him as such, so quite an amazing change of direction. Well I never...gobsmacked. Will definitely seek him out over there in Deal at some point. If I can find it...not terribly good at my locations, thats why I can never get the pics In Howards quiz!

- 10 November 2011 22:39136046Thanks for all your good wishes and I hope to see many of you in The Just Reproach when it opens! The place is being fitted out at the moment (hence my decrease in postings) but the end of the month is still the hoped for date.
Wetherspoons won't be an issue as we will be offering a totally different environment and with a policy of NFL (that's No 'Fizzy'
Lager), no music, tv etc a micropub doesn't appeal to certain drinkers anyway. In addition, Deal has many good pubs, plus The Berry at Walmer, so we will be adding to rather than detracting from.
Jan and Sarah, I wondered if you were you!! Now I know.....
