Folkestone Stabbing
- 29 January 2011 19:4490687an 18 year old from folkestone and a 17 year old from ashford have been charged with murder and appeared at dover magistrates court in pencester road today.
- 30 January 2011 02:3690711BBC news online reports that in London, knife crime has risen by 8% in 2010.
Gun crime in London fell by 10% in the same year, but had risen by almost 50% in 2009 compared to to 2008.

Why does no one want to get a grip on this ?
We're having NHS reform; we're also have school/education reform, so why not justice reform because currently there is no justice in England.

You might remember the Knife Amnesty initiatives over the years whereby people can hand in weapons and no questions asked. But again its just political gesturing of the vaguest kind, because even I have more knives in this flat than Attilla the Hun had at his disposal. So the Knife Amnesty approach is laughable as any kitchen knife can be used for darker purposes... but look at the huge media flagging up it got...and it was utterly pointless. Made no difference whatsoever.
