Have you informed waste services at DDC Terry ? It is obviously NOT on private land, so should be collected quickly.

Drop Redoubt rubbish re-reported to DDC as no action appears to have been taken to clear it in over a week since the initial report. Come on DDC, get your act together.

Did you get a reply Phil - that it would be collected on such and such a date, or have they just ignored it ? I am happy to write to them if you would like to send me a copy of your email.

Thanks Roger. The original report was phoned in on the 14th by another WHPS member. As nothing happened, very disappointing considering the Open Weekend, I tried to phone it in again today but was left hanging for 20 minutes so I gave up. Instead I filled in an automated report sheet today, reference 303158. As you can see, I have no email to forward you I'm afraid. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The following email (with associated photos) has been sent to DDC waste services, with a copy sent to the Director of Waste Services.
"Good Morning waste services.
These photos and the comments were put on Dover Forum recently after reporting them to you/DDC.
Posted on the 14th. of October and reported to DDC. It was re-reported on the 24th. of October as nothing had been done.
"DDC did a very good job by clearing up the orange mess very quickly. Sad to report that on exactly the same spot, someone has now dumped a huge pile of roofing tiles, felt and asbestos panels.
This time it is going to require specialist removal. Clearly someone did not want the trouble of disposing of it properly.
This mess wasn't there last night at 7pm but it was early this afternoon, so it looks like someone or some people are starting to regularly use the Drop Redoubt access road for fly tipping at night.
This has been reported to DDC so hopefully they will be able to sort it out as quickly as they did the last mess."
The original report was phoned in on the 14th by another WHPS member. As nothing happened; very disappointing as it was the Westerrn Heights Open Weekend. I tried to phone it again today (24th.) but was left hanging for 20 minutes so I gave up. . Instead I filled in an automated report today, reference 303158
.
If this fly-tipping rubbish hasn't been cleared up, could it please be taken away ?
Kind Regards
Cllr Roger Walkden

all still there this morning plus a stack of general litter spread along drop redoubt road.
looked like there had been a party up there.
4 official looking chaps were chatting among themselves, maybe they were from the council?

good start to the week, this is dumped at the top of one of the alleyways that priory forum cleaned a few weeks back.
someone must have seen it being dumped.

I walked along both alleys late last week and apart from some litter and dog-poo, there wasn't any fly-tipping.
I did email waste services asking if they still clean the alleyways and they confirmed today that yes they do.

hadn't realised that the council were cleaning the alleyways roger, that explains the improvement.
did the same walk on thursday and came to the same conclusion as you.

The hoarding at the junction of Dickson Road and Tower Hamlets Road has always been a dumping ground for furniture and other detrius but what is there today would take a sizeable truck to remove it.

As I was working a 12 hour shift today Alison Beaumont Tower Hamlets very own Community Warden reported it so hopefully the Dickson Road rubbish should be gone.It appeared that someone had moved house and dumped everything they didnt want in the one spot.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!
