I noticed a floral tribute has grown up the lamp post in the drive way between the Co-op and Stembrook House lavatories. Quite a lot of young people pulling up there in parents' cars to add to them. Has there been a recent incident?

I spotted the same early this morning, I felt it was a bit odd to have a floral tribute there too

That's a shame. I expect the toilets will have been closed while it had to be cleared up.

the deceased was aged 31, i wonder if the people that deal in the stuff ever stop to think.

I'm surprised at the age of the children that were there putting tributes up.
Some must have been very high to have reached where the flowers have been placed.

I hope the toilets are closed for good.
And all public toilets in town for that matter.
Thsi is not the first death, one happened in the Maison Dieu conveniences.
I feel for the people who found them. Imagine if it were a child.

A bit harsh on us oldies and everyone else come to that, if the public toilets get closed because a drug addict dies.
I suppose it has been confirmed it was an addict.

i think i am right in thinking they are the toilets dover town council are taking over.
they are shutting the rest and businesses are being paid for their services.
worked out cheaper to do it that way than keep the toilets open
Sad to hear another life wasted because of drugs .

It would be a bit knee-jerk to close the loos because a couple of people died in them. People do all manner of things in toilets that I wouldn't especially want to see or hear, but I don't think we should close them!

i go along with all the bogs pulled down unless they have an attendant.
private businesses are keen to receive income from the council in exchange for the public to have access to their facilities.

Howard, being within a shop doesn't mean there will be an attendant, and the dodgy stuff that goes on now won't go away, it will just migrate.
