M&S and 'NEXT' signage have gone up on the Townwall Street side and the display column/post or whatever you call it at the Bench Street end of the development has had a makeover with a red edge on which is written (vertically) 'St James'. Wonder who will be honoured to open the complex, and when?
Isn't St. James the Patron Saint of Arthritis sufferers?

Was down at St James lunchtime and went into Greggs, surprised to see only one sitting down customer and only one lady serving, meanwhile Costa Coffee seem to be going great guns with all the outdoor seats taken every time I have passed by including Sunday mornings.

Visited the M & S foodhall earlier and was quite taken aback by the size and new lines on offer, didn't go much on the instore bakery though, not a lot of choice and a bit over priced in my view.

More good news with Shoezone opening on the morrow with a much wider range than in our town centre outlet.

St James was buzzing earlier with many cruise ship visitors milling around, had a look in the new Shoe Zone that was also busy and had a wide range of brand names in stock.

Business confidence in Dover must be very high when M & S open a food hall here whilst closing others around the country, many in affluent areas too.

Plus follies have have turned there existing building back to its former glory and ready for another business to move straight into. A major plus all round.

Good to get it away from the market square. Last evening it was an idiot magnet (as usual when the fair is in town) attracting large crowds of teenagers looking for a fight.

Just got back from St James and it was certainly busy with most car parking spaces taken others queuing to get in. The Food Warehouse that normally has one check out open had all three today with long queues at each. Last time I was in Greggs nobody was seated at the tables but today most were taken so all in all things looking up for the development. The 20 minute bus service Market Square/Pencester Road starts on Monday.

This is very interesting. Retailers like Next and M&S must believe they will pick up a lot of passing trade in Dover. Dover has a much smaller population than Folkestone.

I was surprised when Next announced they would be coming here as previous to that they had announced that profits were down and they had too much floor space around the country, so I reckon they were already planning to close the Folkestone one.

The current map has an under offer next to Bella Italia, and 2 under offers below the Travelodge.

They added unit R3 under travelodge this week. Strange they've not updated unit 1D as being under offer just yet. As expecting that to be follies.
