Yes it did bring crowds, I remember the queues for Margate back past Whitstable in the summer !

I wish Thanet DC well with Dreamland, but not sure who would go there when there are other, more exciting places - Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures etc.
Maybe it will be the older generation who remember it from their youth (me included) that'll try it out.
There is a lot of emotional nostalgia surrounding Dreamland, so it may work, but they'll have to provide parking bays for the electric scooters and zimmer frames !!!

Those who do not fancy the long and expensive trip to the places Roger mentions will also visit plus it will be the ideal place for children to get their first experience of a theme park. I hope they keep the prices as low as possible to attract the families.
