There are 2 kiosks that have been open in the summer, "Millers", the Seasports Centre, the Marina Hotel and the "Starbucks" place next door so plenty of outlets I would say.
Been nice knowing you :)

PaulB re post #17, Charlie does not do positive only negative.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

#21, yes, there does seem to be a good balance there. The public looes are a bit of a bone of contention though - if you just want a walk with the option of a wee as well your options are limited!

I wasn't being negative, we do have a lovely seafront, but it needs weeding - urgently.

#21, don't forget Sue's excellent seafood stall, open in (almost) all weathers. She often puts out a few tables and chairs, you can just sit there and have a coffee, she is not expensive.
Er, what I mean is that her products are not expensive!

I should have also mentioned the cafe in De Bradlei and also the little coffee place for the boat tours and Cullens Yard.
Rather a lot of choice on the seaward side of the A20 really !
Been nice knowing you :)

And the one at the end of the PoW. When it's open, that is. I have always thought the best business model for that one is to have a lobby with vending machines during the low season, and a proper cafe during warm weather, with a pony and trap carrying customers to and fro.

Peter Gastin....I really do think you should take over the casual side of Catering along the Seafront.....it would be most exciting....
It is all very well having far de lar.....but you need something regular and inbetween that stays open....This is a fair comment....
Cor, now I have to justify my every move.....
Yes, Sue's Seafood, I agree, very clean, always open, excellent food and not costly...........................
There is some competition, and the De Bradlei caff does not compare all that well...........but there is some choice. Needing a wee with your walk before or after opening hours can be a challenge........

One only has to go to Margate to see how lucky we are here in Dover, I have to agree with all the other positive comments made about our seafront, it may not be the place to be on a cold november night, but on a summers day a stroll along and stopping off for an icecream and a coffee in Marine court hotel is a treat, so I give our seafront the thumbs up

Absolutely - it is a genuine pleasure to be there.

i plan to take a walk along there on the morrow, so much to see on land and at sea.
jan makes a valid point about margate in comparison to what we have here.

Colette and Howard are so right - there is always, without fail, something fabulous to see or to notice, and it really is our good fortune to live here.
