His group did.
Seems the labour were solid apart from Cllr Wallace.
The problem is, as you well know Keef, that our friends in Labour have pre meeting meetings at which 'the party line' is decided and their inevitable block vote has little if anything to do with any debate as heard in public.
FWIW on the Conservative side at DDC (and all respect to Paul W on this) whilst agenda items are certainly discussed by those who turn up to any group meetings, I have never known pressure to be put on individuals to vote in any particular way. This has lead to some 'close votes' and occasionally a certain councillor being one of the few and occasionally the only councillor voting for example against daft motions on fracking and live animal exports or the lunatic plan to borrow £200 million to 'invest' in commercial property!
Personally, with the concept of 'representative democracy', where we are voting for people who hopefully have both the time and the ability to make decisions on our behalf, I tend to vote for people who will take the time to weigh up matters (things are rarely black and white) and then come to a considered decision rather than merely following a party line or merely reflecting the populist views of the majority of the electorate.
It would appear that there are a majority of the electorate of North Deal who think upon the same lines.
