I've just finished work now - wallpapering and plastering - and managed to get my mug of coffee ready on returning home. Hope you all have a nice evening

Still in full swing Alex, you have time to get here.

I'd love to, Peter, but afraid I can't. I've still got to have a sauna-bath to separate myself from layers of dust, it will be about an hour before I'm even dry.
But cheers all the same.

Sorry I didn't get down there chaps, when I got back from the carols at Folkestone I was somewhat cold and in need of a sit down.
I chatted to a well known local press photographer who had been sent to investigate what was thought to be a UFO.
It turned out to be a Christmas Tree.

Have a great time every one. Sorry not to be there, I never go out at night time these days, the bus service from Whitfield is not very good in the evening. I usually do my drinking in the afternoons now on one day a week. Must get down to Blakes one day.

excellent evening, all the perennials from previous parties and a few new faces to add interest.
of the new ones there was john maven of photographic fame and the delightful, effervescent sarah complete with hubby.
probably a few others that i missed.

Sorry you couldn't make it Terry - does Maureen now about Carol ?? (post 84).
Excellant Colette well done to you and your helpers; great to meet the old and new faces - good to meet you at last Sarah - had an enjoyable chat but not long enough.
Gill was there too from the old Regatta Hair salon, lovely Lady too and good to talk to.
Lovely Jan, looking a treat - let's face it, all the Ladies are/were lovely. If I forget to mention them all I'll get shot, so I best not.
Sorry we had to leave a little early, but a good night and thank you also to Peter and Kathryn.

It was very good in Blakes last night, a great turnout of familiar faces and a few new ones. We thought at one time earlier in the week that it may be disappointing as a number of legendary guys were elsewhere but it turned out to be excellent in the end. Well done to Colette in particular for organising it, and Barry W-S her helper...and of course to Peter and Kathryn at Blakes.
The raffle was a lot of fun, thanks to all who contributed items for it and who joined in. Once again Colette did all that with Gillian's help. needless to say I scored my usual duck in the raffle and won nothing. oh bah humbug!
Great to see everyone...will have pictures in due course, will co-ordinate with Colette on those as she was snapping away as ever, but there will be a bit of a delay with pictures as we are all off to the Hospital Rally this morning to support Reg and to get yet more pictures.

We had a really good time. It was so nice to see everyone I'm just sorry we had to leave at 10. Thank you so much for organizing it.

Glad you all had a great time, there is nothing like a Doverforum party, only wish we could have made it this year. Hope to catch up with you next year. In the meantime I shall look forward to some photos.

Glad it all went so well - I am sorry to have missed it, just back from Durham with son in tow!

Oh! What a Party! Great company, good food and drink and a lot of laughs. Lovely to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too. I love putting faces to the names of members that we debate with day in and day out here on Doverforum. For those of you that couldn't make it we certainly raised a glass or two or three to all of you and we soon discovered that we didn't need the mistletoe for an excuse to kiss, a lot of kissing was done, Ah! it must be Christmas!!!!
Many thanks to Peter and Kathryn for all their help in making it such a successful evening, to Gillian, my lovely hairdresser and the best one in town to boot, for her splendid effort with the raffle and to all who helped with the food and raffle prizes
Watch out for the pictures

cannot add anything to what colette said there, just a matter of tensing ourselves for when the photos are published here.
