Looks closely you can see the Western Heights Preservation Society volunteers taking a well earned break from raking all that cut grass !!

I didn't know it was still being produced, I haven't seen a copy of it anywhere for ages; it was always a good magazine for Dover.
Where is it distributed David ?

Think I am right in saying that it is literally only just off the press so is currently being distributed

It's a good magazine. Dover needs and deserves more quality like this.

Picked up a copy at the Dover Leisure Centre this morning. Excellent copy, as ever, and provides a fascinating insight into local history. Well done to all concerned

distributed free, i think the town council foot the bill.

Yes its distributed free and yes the Town Council make a contribution in the same way other sponsors/advertisers do.
To say they foot the bill is incorrect, we run the magazine as a commercial venture, we have now produced approx 15 editions, I'd like to think thats evidence of its success and popularity.

Well there you go, I joined up to put Mr McSweeney right and my far more liberal colleague Mr Little gets there before me. How's your luck, eh?
Mind you, it's only taken 13 editions for us to get an informed plug on this forum....

I've always preferred to take the silent approach Howard, but Dave's become far too tolerant and liberal of late....

There might have been 13 editions which is good but I wonder how many Dover inhabitants are like myself and never seen one.
