Agree that Dover were comfortably second best today but in defeat we still won. A strange feeling.

The goalkeeper/full back made a complete hash of the eastleigh second goal.
But as martin said the keeper made up for it with the penalty saves
Eastleigh did "win" today Keith and we "won" Tuesday and the penalty shoot out, so perhaps we just deserved it

seen this scenario so many times when the home side in the second leg starts with a lead. they don't want to give a goal away so end up being too cautious which makes the supporters nervous which then spreads to the players.
glad the keeper redeemed himself, must have been hard to keep his concentration after the equaliser.

Tough tough day and I have to be honest they gave us one hell of a game yesterday and had lady luck gone their way a bit they could have won the round.
No doubt about it our first half display at Eastleigh and the.penalty shoot out yesterday were what got us through. I think we tried to hold on to what we had with the 3-1 and they came as they had to with a game plan of just going at us which they certainly did, never really giving us a look in. . Anyway we made it and I am looking forward to another long trip to Salisbury next Sunday which will be another tough game.

Yes Keith I agree, we were totally outplayed yesterday though I did think we had our best spell in the second half of extra time when the fresh legs of Willock and Bricknell troubled them. An afternoon my 8 year grandson will never forget, he will relay the story of the penalty shoot out to his children I have no doubt of that.

A grueling afternoon's viewing, but the right outcome. I felt nervous watching the penalties again even through I knew what happened.
